Fridays

Friday used to be my favourite day when I was small, because, back then in Kedah ,Fridays are weekend. So it feels more like a family day for me on Fridays, and I still remember the morning roti canais that my parents used to buy from the pasar. Hehehe, it was the best day of the whole week.

Recall I said “used to be” , its no longer the same. Today, of all Fridays, is the  worst. Today is a public holiday in my host company, due to Maulidur Rasul day it seems, but I woke up early at 8. It has been a routine now to wake up early. Planned to sleep, couldn’t. So I decided to watch some movie while laying back on my bed, till the call came. My host server is down. And its due to the accounts problem. I was like, okay, small matter, tomorow it will be fine. Not till you get calls after calls from people that are using my hosting, people I am their webmaster. Damn! Had to rush to Cheras, up and down walking around looking for the office, made payments in cash, the money which I had planned to use for something else :( thank god just got my pay ^_^

THen kene marah by a company boss, who blamed me. Actually it is my fault, but really, I am helpless as well. Terrible feeling you know, kene marah by someone else through phone. Really not my day.

And the most awaited meal of the day, a Puri in an Indian restaurant at Brickfields, was a BIIIIGGG let down !!!! eeee! Depression!

Will be at KLS Chinese Hall tomorow saturday, and on Sunday am going off to UPSI to attend a function. Will be on the move, so not going to update this blog this weekend. Have fun you all!

Icy Pheonix

I love to play around with web scripts, I remember my first time installing a web server in my desktop, and trying to setup phpNuke, that was the first CMS I configured, well yes it took me some time as I had to learn myself, and was without Internet access at that time :(
Anyway, I started to learn PHP from just looking at the codes of another CMS source code, and started to edit it. Now my hobby is , apart from surfing through the Internet, is to get my hands on any new scripts that are available through the net , download and test run them in my localhost. PHP scripts mostly, Open Source matters dude ! :D
And after falling in love with MK Portal , a CMS that I would really recommend everyone to use ( Generasi-M runs on it, but pity, they screw up the layout eee! ) , now I am in love with yet another new one.

Pnix

IcyPheonix CMS is what phpBB needs to make sure it survives. Just when I thought phpBB forum will die, this IcyPheonix comes to not only rescue them, but give a fair fight to other CMSes. It runs on top of phpBB engine, in fact it is phpBB but with lots of modifications. And I am having fun playing around with it. Can’t wait to make use of it, to roll it on any new projects next kekeke. ( Novin , any projects? kekeke )

I am in love with this script! Apart from the plan to go out this weekend, I know what to do now ;;) Happy weekend people~

Me and the vote…

When i turned 21 last January ( hint for next years birthday present ^_^ ) , the first, in fact the only thing I wanted to do was to register as a eligible voter. I really love the election process and its hoooHaa surrounding it. I don’t know how, I certainly don’t know when it started in me to have this interest in politics. But it surely does play a major part and role in me.

[kml_flashembed movie=”http://www.malaysia-today.net/2007images/voter.swf” height=”130″ width=”190″ /] I may have some weird political stand, really..it’s weird, its a mixture of Socialism and Communism with a blend of democracy, maybe in the future before I die I may be able to write a book on it ( as if..) Well, yeah back to the story. It was in the early Jan ( for those uninitiated, my birthday falls on New Years day keke :p ) , and I thought I would have all the time in the world to register. But what do you know, it was almost end of March, yet to register myself.

There are talks going on that you would need to register by end of March to be able to cast your vote the next election, but I never cared, Im being one of those millions of youth in Malaysia turning the blind eye , ” Tutup mata sebelah”. But you know, I wanted to go to post office the other day, it was full. And yeah I only have like one-hour lunch time break…so it went on and on..delays followed by laziness..

SPR

It was on that very innocent Wednesday evening, I heard they have this great pasar-malam at my new apartment place , so what the heck, I have something to attend at 8.30, and it is now 6.30, 2hours to go. So I decided to take a walk and checkout the great pasar malam, looking forward for the Malay kuihs that I am yearning to eat. And the first stall to greet me was none other than Election Registration booth :D ^_^

Yeap, I didn’t have to wait for the long queues at Post Office , just wait there for 4minutes, gave out my IC, they made a copy of it, and the form was filled by one Ng How Do of Pusat Khidmat Kawasan Wangsa Maju , and walla! Im done. He gave me a copy of the registration form and explained to me that they are volunteers of MCA Youth and are registering voters. I was afraid if it will be used by ’some party’ as a ‘undi hantu’ kekeke, but he showed me his SPR cards and the cop rasmi, so yeah I was convinced enough.

In another 3months, I can check my status if I am registered at spr.gov.my . Can’t wait for it! HOW ABOUT YOU?

Undihantu

A good indication

Today is certainly a good day, a good indication for the freedom of expression in Malaysia. The following is the Suhakam’s finding on the Bloody Sunday incident.

Panel chairman Datuk K.C. Vohrah said the assembly at KLCC was peaceful and orderly and that the police, in dispersing the assembly, had interfered with the right to the freedom of assembly that was enshrined in Article 10 of the Federal Constitution.

Yes, for the first time, it has been acknowledged  publickly by a body summoned by the Government that such public street protest was legal, peaceful and another prove that the police force acted unprofessionaly.

The report’s recommendations added that the rights of any person engaged in lawful advocacy, protest or dissent are not limited by any authority and it should also be ensured that such rights would not be considered as prejudicial to national security.

:D Full News here … but then again, will it make any difference? :-

Sivaji Audio…true/false?

Yes, surprisingly, there are rumours going on all over the industry (in the internet at least :p ) that the pre-released songs are either not in the movie, or are just for hype, creating some sort of excitement with the listeners. 20th September

Do You Remember The 20th Day Of September? Amir Muhammad , has launched his new movie project, and it wasn’t launched in any fancy hotel or TV-shows, its live on the Internet! A man who has had 2 previous movies banned by LEMBAGA PENAPISAN FILEM.

Now he plans to record everyday people’s experience / memory of what they can recall on the 20th of September 1998. So the whole movie , will be based from a collection of your memory :D

Do You Remember The 20th Day Of September? is a movie about several things that happened in Kuala Lumpur in 1998.

This movie will depend on the recollections of people who took part in that demonstration.

I still remember that particular day. It was my standard Six in my primary school. The kids were not that Hoo-haa on Dato Seri Anwar being sacked, of course, we were standard sixers, what do you expect. I do remember anyway that we were lost at the real ‘case’. What is ’sodomy’? We never knew back then what is sodomy, homosexual and its ‘kawasan-kawasan sejiran dengannya” means. And I never dared to ask my parents or teachers either ..mau :D
Where were you on 20th of September 1998? Share it with Amir @ his blog or just comment here ^_^
