Mr. Reliable is back again. If Rahul Dravid is The Wall of Indian cricket, then director Hari must be The Wall of Kollywood. A man for all seasons, he knows how to create hits with anybody and anything. His films feature rural sentiments, action and importantly the sickle as the chief protagonists. Sickle wielding has to be second nature to any hero of a Hari film, even the police officer in Saamy was a ‘porukki’.

This time, Bharath is the angry young villager. The promos on air have shown that he totally looks the part. The curly hair, the shabby stubble and the ‘lunghi’ carelessly tied around the waist have given him the perfect unkempt look of the angry young man. We know precious little about the story, but from what the promos have revealed, action is the main factor here too and it seems to be more intense and brutal than all Hari films that have come before this.
But, Hari films are not just about action. He knows how to keep the women happy by packing in emotions and sentiments- the trump card to bring the families in. Then, there is the Hari constant –Mr. Vadivelu. A Hari film is incomplete without Vadivelu comedy, at least it has been so over the past couple of years. Their team has clicked exceedingly well, the last time being for Vel. The casting coup of the movie however has to be Simran. In what is touted to be a role with comic shades opposite Bharath, with a remix of an old Tamil hit, Simran must entertain her fans again.
