I just got the CD from a friend (thank you! ), will be getting one myself once my money is in, been on a “boros” spree last weekend. But nevertheless, been hearing the songs non-stop since morning Rahman sang a song man!

Yes, that Net piracy , while was a let-down for the producers, and certainly for Director Shankar, it was at the same time a good promotion for Sivaji audio. AVM Productions (the film’s production company) manager K. Viswanathan said that the initial order for the audio went up after the “illegal” release of the songs.

But thanks to the talented Mr. ARR, AVM has actually recorded an increase in orders from dealers after the illegal release on the net, according to Mr. Viswanathan.

He said the response was overwhelming and that the current order figures stood at two lakh CDs and two lakh cassettes.

And Bolehland would like to ask this intriguing question for the people in the industry; was the “illegal” pre-release of Sivaji songs was a PLAN by AVM itself to boost the sales? Was it a publicity stunt? :-s

Yes, surprisingly, there are rumours going on all over the industry (in the internet at least :p ) that the pre-released songs are either not in the movie, or are just for hype,creating some sort of excitement with the listeners. I have no idea, but since the illegal release over web yesterday, almost all major sites and small timer blog like mine :p has got it .

Do You Remember The 20th Day Of September? is a movie about several things that happened in Kuala Lumpur in 1998.

This movie will depend on the recollections of people who took part in that demonstration.

I still remember that particular day. It was my standard Six in my primary school. The kids were not that Hoo-haa on Dato Seri Anwar being sacked, of course, we were standard sixers, what do you expect. I do remember anyway that we were lost at the real ‘case’. What is ’sodomy’? We never knew back then what is sodomy, homosexual and its ‘kawasan-kawasan sejiran dengannya” means. And I never dared to ask my parents or teachers either ..mau
