I am a fellow Rahman fan, and posting about the news of Rahman’s KM school months and months ago; I never expected people to come in drove to ask how to enroll for the school!! After Rajini news..i present to you the guy I hate the most in Tamil cinemaa..

Having missed Silambarasan’s earlier invitation to star in Kaalai owing to lack of dates and prior commitments, Sneha has just grabbed the offer for Silambattam when it came along. The name previously in contention for the role was Kajal Agarwal who for reasons unknown could not honor the offer.

Silambattam will bring Sneha together with Silambarasan for the first time. Besides Sneha, Sana Khan also plays one of the leads. Silambarasan plays Vichu, a spiritual Brahmin lad and is said to don a double role for the movie. No price for guessing that Sneha will play the love interest of the conventional Hindu Brahmin Vichu!

Okay i am following too much Tamil cinema news!

While many actors believe that churning one film after the other will keep them aloft the rest in the industry, Surya thinks otherwise. Presently busy with Gautham Menon’s Vaaranam Aayiram, Surya said that he is focused on acting in quality cinema; therefore, quantity doesn’t matter.

Speaking about VA, he said that it about a military officer. And as like his previous venture, Kaakka Kaakka he seems to have done his homework well, as Surya has put on weight for that army look.

After VA, Surya has two other ventures on hand, one each for K.V. Anand and Murugadoss. The main criteria that this actor is looking for in his films are: good story and scope to perform.

Have you moved your place? Moving out is one hell of a work. Last time i move room from one place to another, and a friend had to help me out with shifting the stuff.. Thanks Aizat!

So yeah..its a hell of a work, unless till you hire those movers. If that is hard, imagine moving out of to a far place, you are going on plane.. and you wanna tag along your favourite Kelisa (any car) with you. Now that is even harder!

New BMW!

Germany’s BMW, the world’s largest premium carmakers, on Tuesday launched the new BMW M3 coupe in Chennai.First of the M series from BMW, M3 coupe is a two-door luxury car with a 3999cc V8 petrol engine. Top-notch performance and pure luxury combined with perfect handling render this car all reasons to justify its worth.

In view of the strong growth of the Indian economy, it has a goal of annual sales of 2000 vehicles in 2008 and to extend it to 10,000 cars till the year 2010.

“BMW started in India in the year 2007 in March with our production house in Chennai, the hometown of BMW here in India. And we sold last year to our customers 1,387 cars. Last year’s luxury segment sale was at about 4,300 cars, so our market share or segment share was about 30 per cent last year,” said Peter Kronschnabl, president of BMW, India.

“This year in 2008, we believe that we can sell about 2000 cars to the customers. Mid term we would like to become the segment leader in the luxury segment. We believe that the luxury segment will grow till 2010 to about 10000 cars per year,” he added.

The BMW also opened its first showroom, KUN, in the city.

BMW’s plant in Chennai is the group’s fifth factory in Asia and will make 3 and 5 series BMWs exclusively for the Indian market.

Maestro A.R. Rahman’s appearance in public events, leave alone press meets, is a rare occurrence. And when he called the media to address them, it was indeed a surpriseThe occasion for this is the inauguration of his music school – KM Conservatory of Music. Addressing the media, Rahman

said that this school would be for students wishing to pursue music courses either as a profession or a vocation.He lamented that India, though rich and diverse in music, lacks symphony orchestras. To set this right, the students trained in the institute will pursue learning to play in a symphony orchestra. Initially, it will be formed partially with Indian and foreign students; however, he aims at creating one entirely for Indian students.KM Conservatory of Music, for the time being, will be operated from the place adjacent to his studio in Kodambakkam. But about three acres of land has already been acquired in the suburbs in which class rooms, recording studios, concert hall and residences for faculties and students residing outside the city will be built. KM Conservatory of Music will operate in collaboration with Audio Media Education, an Apple certified institution. It has also been disclosed that talks are on with the University of Madras to grant Deemed University status to this institution.When the reporters quizzed him on the why he had named the school KM, the maestro refused to divulge it and said the explanation behind the title will remain a secret close to his heart.

On composing music for the films of the Superstar, Rahman said he had worked with him several times earlier; his current projects with Rajini are Sultan the Warrior and Robot.
